Surgical Experience
Dr. Doerr completed a General Surgical Internship at the University of Colorado in 1992. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the University of Colorado in 1996 where, as Chief Resident, he scored the highest score in the nation on the Orthopaedic In-Training Examination.
Dr. Doerr's Orthopaedic Residency Training was heavily weighted towards adult reconstruction (joint replacement) and sports medicine where he trained with the team doctors for the Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies, Colorado Avalanche, University of Colorado and Denver University. He completed a one-year spine fellowship at the University of Colorado in 1997 which focused on complex spinal surgery.
